Pharmaceutical Gels are also known as topical gel which is a soft solid or semisolid mass composed of various drugs to treat various skin problems. They are transparent or translucent in their physical appearance and are softer in touch due to loose bonding of the constituent particles. Pharmaceutical gels can be directly applied on the affected areas of the skin with the use of hands. They are highly effective and rapid in action due to high absorption in skin. These are used as a pain relief agent to remove pain caused by arthritis, bruising strains, sprains and backaches. These gels can also be used to treat skin problems like acne and various fungal infections.
